FTA launches tacho reporting service at CV Operator show today13 April 2010

The FTA (Freight Transport Association ) has launched an online tachograph reporting suite, dubbed the Reporting Gateway, here at the Commercial Vehicle Operator Show at the NEC, Birmingham.

Aimed at managing drivers' hours and tachograph compliance, the system provides a range of reports, from a high level overview of the company to compliance by depot, right down to the daily detail of each driver in a fleet -- and is being offered free to Tachofta customers.
June Powell, general manager of Tachofta, says that the service helps reduce the risk of infringements, as well as enabling operators to prioritise business decisions and providing flexibility while also saving time.

"This interactive reporting suite is a real-time, online service that eliminates any delay in reports being sent, ensuring that information is always up-to-date, and making it quick and easy to pinpoint any infringements," states Powell.

Incidentally, visitors to the FTA stand also get achance to win a TomTom GO 7000 truck navigation unit, if they place an order through Shopfta. That unit helps trucks avoid narrow roads, low bridges and unsuitable routes, and FTA says it is running the offer on all orders from Shopfta until the end of May.
