GKC Electrical switched on to first MAN TGE van14 September 2017

South Wales contractor GKC Electrical has taken delivery of the UK’s first MAN TGE van.

Supplied by Newport dealer Commercial Motors (Wales), the TGE 3.180 panel van has a 2-litre bi-turbo engine producing 177bhp through a manual transmission.

The TGE is also GKC Electrical’s first new vehicle and was selected after testing a demonstrator: “That confirmed everything we had expected from the vehicle and the deal we arranged with MAN Financial Services made it the obvious choice for us,” says GKC’s Gareth Coomber.

“As a commercial and industrial electrical firm, we have contracts nationwide and we were looking for a van that was big enough for the teams and the kit they need, and vehicle reliability is obviously essential.

“We are convinced we have got all that with the MAN TGE 3.180 and we are looking forward to putting it to the test.”
