Dubbed eCasing Mobile, the app builds on Goodyear’s existing web-based eCasing commercial vehicle retreading system.
Goodyear says it will allow users – which include its retreading partners and dealers, as well as truck, bus and coach fleets – to access the system from mobile devices, so improving efficiency throughout the tyre retreading supply chain.
It also offers users greater visibility, traceability and more up to date information both online and on mobile devices, according to Grégory Boucharlat, director of retread operations Europe, Middle East and Africa at Goodyear Dunlop.
“With the new eCasing Mobile app, we have increased the versatility of our eCasing retread management system,” he says.
“Examples of eCasing transactions include fleets having their own casings retreaded and returned to them, or casings being exchanged for retreads,” he continues.
“The introduction of the mobile version is believed to be an industry first and increases the efficiency of our retreading offer for our customers.”
