Harsh fitting station wins two-year type approval extension19 October 2020

Having opened 18 months ago on a trial basis, a Harsh wet kit fitting station at Bailey Ltd, supplier and fitter of truck accessories in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, has secured VCA permission to offer type approval of different truck types with various Harsh equipment for two years.

The site, which has three workshop bays, stocks a large parts inventory, also draws on an in-house technical team for specification support and backup. It is the second site set up by the tipper and hooklift supplier as part of a geographical diversification strategy; its main fitment site is in Full Sutton, Yorkshire.

Adam Hargreaves, Harsh’s managing director explained: “This marks a significant moment for our Wisbech operation. We hope the next two years allows us to further strengthen our service led offering giving our customers a flexible approach to their transport needs, all in despite of the difficulties the UK economy is facing currently.”

Julian Jarvis, director of Bailey Ltd added, We are delighted to be involved in the process and have seen how working in a partnership can help achieve great things!”
