Harsh upgrades hookloader range06 February 2020

Harsh has introduced upgrades to its hookloader range, promising an “unbeatable specification” for certain operations.

The improvements include a high-speed version of its HH26 unit, used on 8x4 and drawbar vehicles, with the new model said to operate at up to 35% faster than its predecessor with its full 26-tonne capacity.

“This latest hookloader also features, as standard, a fully modular sheeting system that’s both easy to operate and maintain, as well as a new CAN-based operating control unit for inside the truck cab,” says Adam Hargreaves, managing director of the York-based business.

An optional patented front container locking system has also been introduced, he adds, as has a mechanical locking system for the rear frame.

Wastewise, of Hull, has taken delivery of one of these new hookloaders, fitted to a Volvo FM chassis supplied by Crossroads Truck & Bus.
