Haulier awards 30-unit deal to TIP Trailers04 February 2014

Cheshire-based haulier Francis Transport has signed a five-year deal with TIP Trailer Services UK to replace 30 of its curtainsided trailers.

The order – the latest in a long-running relationship between the two firms – sees TIP supplying 30 SDC13.6m high-roof trailers to replace four-year-old models.

The new trailers will operate from sites in Northwich, Wigan and Milton Keynes, distributing high-volume packaging products. Ten of them carry the livery of ALPLA (pictured), one of the haulier's major customers.

"TIP has consistently looked after us whenever we are considering trailer replacements," says John Francis, director at Francis Transport. "They give us excellent personal service, matched to the optimum finance deals, and it is a partnership that is working extremely well for us."

The acquisition was financed through TIP's equipment funding scheme.
