The Ispwich-based company has workshop and support sites in Harwich and Felixstowe, and another parts supply centre in Witham, with the locations chosen to maximise opportunities with commercial vehicle fleets servicing the ferry ports.
“We were among the first to use Krone’s new Box Liners,” says Oliver Brunt, HB Commercial’s operations director (pictured, left, with colleague Jono Scott and Krone sales manager Jason Chipchase).
“Because of their flexible loading and ability to easily handle tough, pick-up-and-drop ferry work, demand over the last couple of years has far exceeded our initial expectations.”
An optional Krone Telematics package enables HB Commercial and its customers to monitor tyre pressures, mileage records for maintenance intervals, empty running or reduced-load miles, braking system status and trailer location.
The Box Liner’s sliding chassis can be adjusted to carry any standard sized dry freight or tank container, and it comes with a ten-year guarantee against corrosion perforation.
