Henshaw’s celebrates tenth anniversary with new Volvo coach 23 February 2015

Cotswolds-based travel firm Henshaw’s Coaches has marked its tenth anniversary by acquiring a new Euro 6 Volvo B11R coach with Jonckheere bodywork.

The new vehicle adds to a procession of Volvos bought over the years by the firm, which runs a Volvo-only fleet that includes coaches on the B10M, B12 and B7 chassis.

"We know the quality of product that we can expect from Volvo Bus," comments Henshaw's Coaches director Danny Henshaw.

"We wanted to celebrate [our anniversary] with the purchase of a new quality coach," he continues.

"We'd heard some excellent reports on the performance and fuel economy of the Euro 6 Volvo B11R and initial signs look very promising."

"Our new B11R has only just entered operation, but it is already achieving fuel economy of around 12.9mpg, which is extremely pleasing," adds co-director Peter Drew.

"If it continues to achieve results in that region we'd be delighted with the purchase."

The coach was specified with Volvo's D11K 430bhp Euro 6 engine mated to its 12-speed Volvo I-Shift gearbox. It has been fitted with 53 passenger seats and also features a server, two TV screens and leather headrests throughout.
