Hermes launches new driver apprenticeship scheme03 May 2019

Consumer delivery business Hermes UK has launched a new initiative to address the driver shortage, with a bespoke driver apprenticeship scheme.

Called Road to Logistics, the one-year course is funding through Hermes’ apprenticeship levy and supported by Seetec, the operator’s training provider.

Hermes is recruiting HGV driver apprentices, who then undergo practical and theoretical training to achieve their Cat C and Cat C&E licences.

The scheme is open to applicants of any age and all successful apprentices will be offered roles as hub drivers within the operator’s Warrington and Rugby hubs.
