Hiab takes cranes to another level at CV Show 11 March 2013

Hiab will be demonstrating its ability to meet all sorts of on-truck load handling requirements, at the CV Show, with brands including Hiab loader cranes, Multilift demountable systems and Moffett truck-mounted forklifts.

Making its debut, for example, will be the latest addition to the Multilift XR Power range of demountable body systems, the XR24S. Hiab claims that the use of more advanced and lower weight materials gives this sliding hooklift a lifting and tipping capacity of 24,000kg.

It also features a new, high performance PLC control box and options on its regenerative hydraulic system said to deliver significant fuel savings and reduced emissions during operation.

Beyond that, Hiab will also be showing the all new Moffett E Series of truck-mounted, electric, ultra-low noise forklift trucks at the show for the first time. The company claims improved and safer performance, as well as reduced cost of operation compared with diesel-powered forklifts.

And finally, it promises to display a Hiab XS122E-3 HiPro loader crane, fitted with the latest Space 5000 electronics and prepared for operation as a MEWP (mobile elevating working platform).

The equipment incorporates a fully variable stability monitoring system, to comply with the European standard EN280, and the range covers systems for 19 to 32 tonne trucks, with The Fast Speed option combined with the PLC control for fast unload/load cycles.
