HMF ups the ante for truck-mounted crane sales 02 November 2010

Peterborough-based truck-mounted crane manufacturer HMF has launched a sales drive in the UK by unveiling two new loaders and appointing its first dealers.

Latest additions to the Danish line-up include the 38-tonne/metre HMF 3820-K and 47-tonne/metre HMF 4720-K, each of which can be used with up to eight hydraulic extensions and offers maximum reaches of 8.2-21.4 metres.

Both also have HMF's RCL 5300 Safety System, which prevents overloading, and can be specified with the company's EVS (electronic vehicle stability), which calculates the extent to which the load on the back of a truck can serve as a counterweight, so eliminating any risk of vehicle toppling.

So much for the products; HMF says it has also "realigned its prices, which are now highly competitive", and reorganised its own sales force, as well as appointing its first authorised sales and service dealers.

First to sign-up were dry freight bodybuilder Bevan Group, of Halesowen, and South East Cranes, of Walton on Thames, Surrey.

"These are exciting times for our business," declares HMF (UK)'s sales and service manager Andy Rigby. "Not only do our loaders offer unrivalled build quality, they also represent the cutting edge, in terms of technology."
