Horiba MIRA showcases autonomous expertise at LCV201608 September 2016

Horiba MIRA will be showcasing its work in the field of connected and autonomous vehicle (CAV) technologies at the LCV2016 event (Millbrook; 14-15 September).

During the event, the organisation will address the test and validation challenges associated with CAV technologies and will be demonstrating its expertise in ISO26262, MISRA and Cyber Security.

Horiba MIRA will also show how it is taking CAV technologies from test and simulation to real-world field trials and deployment.

Chris Reeves, Horiba MIRA’s commercial manager for intelligent mobility & future transport technologies, will be giving a presentation on the test and validation challenges facing advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and CAVs.

He says: “Increased consumer acceptance and awareness, coupled with technical advances, are fuelling a rapid increase in the deployment of automated systems. The automated systems bring with them increasing challenges associated with their development and test and validation to ensure the products are fit for purpose, consistently reliable and intrinsically safe.

“LCV is a great opportunity for us to highlight the technical challenges we face and propose approaches to counter them.”
