Like their predecessors, the latest vehicles have been supplied by dealer Warrington Vehicle Centre. All 21 are Forward N75.190 rigids, with a mix of beavertail bodies and dropside vehicles.
“The Isuzu 7.5-tonner is the right specification for us and ideally suits our nationwide branch network operation,” says Martin O’Neill, HSS Hire Group’s national fleet and logistics manager.
“Most importantly, it gives us an impressive 3-tonne payload, which we find to be perfect for the distribution of heavy plant and machinery to our customers.”
On the milestone order, O’Neill says: “Whether it’s from the local dealer or from Isuzu Truck UK themselves, the attention to detail we receive is first class.
“Generally, getting good quality after-sales service to support our fleet is challenging at times, however this is not the case with Isuzu. Their CARE programme leads the field by far and is one of the major reasons why our relationship with them has flourished over the past 10 years.”
The new trucks are expected to be in operation for five years, covering 40,000 miles per annum.
