Hyva affords tipping gear show debut 13 June 2011

This year's Tip-Ex show provided the ideal opportunity for Hyva to present its' latest tipping gear. Aimed squarely at the mainstream UK eight wheeler market the new, innovative Hyva FC137 offers tipper operators some distinct operating advantages.

Capable of working at up to 220bar, the FC137's high technology design produces an operating speed of 0.5m/sec. With other competitive tipping gears struggling to reach 0.3m/sec, the FC137 is therefore almost twice as fast - and so sets a new industry standard.

By notably speeding up the tipping cycle, operating safety is improved, as too is vehicle productivity. Second, the tipping valve of the FC137 can bolt straight to the cylinder, saving unnecessary pipework (and therefore the risk of burst failure). Reliability and safety are therefore improved, and potential maintenance costs reduced.

Third, FC137 is also light in weight, saving some 50kg over Hyva's much renowned 'standard' 8x4 tipping gear, the FC149.The new FC137 is also some 16kg lighter than its direct competitor, again setting an industry standard.

"Conditions don't really get more arduous than mining in China," says Hyva UK MD, Tony Davies. "There, the requirement is simply for a hoist that goes up and down as fast as possible, as many times as possible. The FC137 does exactly that, so here in the UK it should have a comparatively easy life."
