Hyva’s Titan to launch at Tip-Ex13 May 2015

This month’s Tip-Ex event (28-30 May, Harrogate) marks the official launch of Hyva’s Titan Radio Remote, a skiploader that offers “a quantum leap forward”, according to the company, in terms of safety and productivity.

The Titan Radio Remote (TRR) is said to be the first of its kind to bring crane-based, wireless electro-hydraulic operating technologies into the skiploader market.

With the remote control function, a skiploader driver can walk around the vehicle at the same time as loading or unloading. This gives the operator full visibility of the surrounding environment, so drastically reduces the potential for incidental damage or accidents.

Built on an 18-tonne gvw DAF LF chassis, one of the first Hyva TRR units has already been supplied to Translease Services, of Woking, Surrey. He describes radio remote control as "a key advance for the skip industry", adding: "It will inevitably become a standard requirement in the not too distant future."

The Translease TRR skiploader can be seen on Hyva's stand at the Tip-Ex event.
