Interest in First buses starts at an early age 30 March 2012

First in Greater Glasgow paid a special visit this week to Saint Andrew's nursery in support of a public transport themed project the children have been working on.

Children at the Cumbernauld nursery were evidently ecstatic when a First bus turned up at the nursery last Wednesday.

Driver George King welcomed the children on board his bus and issued each child with a bus ticket and a flag before they took their seats.

The children have recently been working on a public transport theme and were delighted to show off their brightly coloured bus drawings to the bus driver.

"It's great to see such a positive response to public transport from young children," states First's public relations manager, Emma Latimer.

"The majority of our buses are low floor, which means easy access for children, as well as mums with buggies. There is also dedicated space inside our buses for children to travel in their pushchairs."
