Irish haulier sees clear payback potential with ProVision08 December 2017

Irish transport firm Martin Ryan Haulage says it has cut operating costs by 15% since installing the ProVision camera system, which has also made “a major contribution” to fleet safety.

After extensive evaluation of several systems, the company chose ProVision for its robust system, storage capacity for footage and the ability to instantly access that footage wherever the trucks are located.

The company, which runs 70 trucks and 100 trailers, had previously struggled to defend itself against fraudulent claims and its insurance premiums were increasing.

With ProVision, claims can easily be defended, says Brendan Ryan, son of the founder. He adds: “However, the biggest benefit we’ve seen is being able to avoid the hefty legal fees that go hand in hand with most claims. Nine times out of ten, those fees are more expensive than the insurance claim payout.”

He also rates ProVision’s understanding of the haulage industry: “They knew exactly where to position the cameras for optimal driver and vehicle security, and we believe that the systems are a major contribution to the safety of our fleet.

“We believe the cameras offer exceptional value for money,” adds Ryan (pictured, right, with brothers Martin Jr and Declan).
