Isuzu 7.5 tonner is new standard for Glendale 25 August 2015

Environmental services specialist Glendale Managed Services has taken delivery of two new Isuzu N75.190 Forward 7.5 tonne rigids to work on new tree maintenance contracts in north London.

The latest arrivals follow successful operation of two other Isuzus since their purchase in 2014.

"We were really impressed by the demonstration vehicle supplied by our local dealer and bought two new 6.2 tonne gvw Isuzus," states Glendale commercial director Stuart Darbyshire.

"Both the original Isuzus performed really well, so we decided to duplicate the order for our 2015 requirements but this time moving from 6.2 tonne vehicles to the latest Euro 6 7.5 tonne specification," he explains.

The two latest Isuzu trucks were specified with Isuzu's Easyshift automated transmission and were built with a secure storage/tool box compartment behind the cab and a compact tipping body.

In operation, the vehicle is equipped to tow a chipper, which feeds the tipper body with woodchip waste.

All four Isuzu rigids were supplied by local dealer Cornwallis Commercials and the latest two 7.5t vehicles are based at Glendale's Watford depot.

"We now consider the Isuzu Forward to be the standard 7.5 tonne vehicle for our fleet," says Darbyshire.
