Iveco announces availability of RHD version of Eurocargo NP16 October 2017

Iveco has announced that it is now taking orders for the right-hand drive version of its Eurocargo Natural Power truck.

The Eurocargo Natural Power runs on compressed natural gas (CNG) and is available as a 12-tonne and 16-tonne 4x2 rigid, with a choice of wheelbases from 3,105mm to 5,670mm.

Both models are powered by a six-litre Tector engine delivering up to 204bhp and 750Nm of torque, with a maximum range of 400km.

Compared to diesel, CNG can reduce NOx emissions by 35% and PM by 95%. CNG tanks are mounted along the sides of the chassis, to avoid any reduction in load space and to ensure maximum bodybuilder flexibility is maintained.

The EurocargoNP complies with Euro VI step C emission requirements and is up to 50% quieter than a diesel truck, making it ideal for urban and night-time operations, says Iveco.

In addition to standard 12-tonne and 16-tonne models, Eurocargo Natural Power can also be specified with the ‘EL’ low-height chassis: designed for multi-drop urban distribution, it sits 75mm lower than the standard model.
