Iveco Bus has a hand in world championships13 January 2017

A fleet of 44 Magelys coaches, from Iveco Bus, is transporting teams around France for the 25th Men’s Handball World Championship.

Supplied to operator Transdev, the coaches are being used by the French Handball Federation to take teams from 24 nations to matches in eight French cities, with the competition running from 10 to 29 January.

The Magelys is powered by a 400bhp Cursor 9 engine, and safety features include LDWS (lane departure warning system) and AEBS (advanced emergency braking system).

Iveco Bus is providing Transdev with a tailored support package for the duration of the championship.

Sylvain Blaise, VP of Iveco and head of Iveco Bus global operations, says: “We are delighted that our flagship product, the Magelys, has been chosen to transport the teams, as it is designed and manufactured in this host country.”
