Iveco improves spare parts support services in the UK16 July 2012

Iveco has enhanced its parts support in the UK and Ireland, delivering what parts and services director David Power believes is a "truly world-class aftersales service".

He explains that Iveco's, Ramses stock replenishment system monitors local stock levels and allows staff in Winsford to act smarter in selecting the range and quantity of parts it holds.

"Offering a broader range of parts means we can reduce occasions when a specific component is not available," states Power.

"Some parts have a limited shelf-life as they incorporate components such as rubber seals, which lose condition over time. This means you can't simply pile stocks high in warehouses – components need to be fresh," he explains.

Currently, more than 98% of replacement parts for European-spec Iveco Group vehicles are available from the Winsford warehouse for delivery to dealers on a next-day, pre-8am basis, he says.
