Iveco Stralis Hi-Way delivers on all counts for P Harper & Sons23 November 2015

Agricultural produce haulier P Harper & Sons has taken delivery of an Iveco Stralis Hi-Way tractor – its first Iveco truck in more than seven years – chosen, says the operator, for its projected low total cost of ownership.

Supplied by dealer Guest Truck and Van, the Stralis Hi-Way AS440S46TX/P 6x2 twin-steer tractor joins the Ramsey, Cambridgeshire-based haulier’s 16-strong fleet.

The vehicle is powered by an Iveco Cursor 11 engine which produces up to 460bhp between 1,500 and 1,900 rpm, and up to 2,150 Nm of torque between 925 and 1,500 rpm.

It also has lightweight alloy wheels, axle load indicators and IveConnect, Iveco’s integrated satellite navigation, infotainment and telematics package.

Nigel Harper, managing director of P Harper & Sons, says the Stralis “ticked all the boxes” and the dealer’s ability to offer a competitive repair and maintenance package clinched the deal.

The latest acquisition is supplied on a 140,000km per year R&M agreement for five years.
