Supplied by dealer JDS Trucks, the vehicles join the Dorset-based operator’s 15-strong fleet and are deployed on hazardous ADR waste removal activities across the UK.
J&G acquired a Range T at the beginning of last year and, says fleet compliance manager James Quick, positive driver feedback was “instrumental” in the latest order. “Keeping drivers happy is huge nowadays and being able to attract and, most importantly, hold on to good drivers is one of the most important factors in running a successful fleet.
“As drivers spend a large amount of their time on the road, it’s essential that the truck feels almost like a home. The Range T is more sturdy, has more space and the environment inside is excellent.”
The vehicles are specified with Renault’s Optifleet Drive system, allowing remote downloading of tachograph data.
“Being able to remotely download the driver and truck’s digicard means it’s easier for me to keep an eye on the driver’s hours, working environment and monitor fuel consumption,” says Quick.
“Optifleet really takes things to the next level in terms of keeping connected to our day-to-day operations.”
The Range Ts are supplied on a four-year R&M deal. They are fitted with Kuda Kitchen Packs and wrapped in J&G’s livery by Wykes Vehicle Wrap.
