John and Steven Cartwright launch new Tiger trailers 17 April 2014

For the first time in decades a new UK trailer and body manufacturer has entered the market – in the form of Tiger, launched by John and Steven Cartwright.

Darren Holland, sales director for Tiger says that the new firm is offering a complete range of transport products, from rigid bodywork to double deck LSTs (longer semi-trailers).

"As far as we are aware, a new manufacturer of this scale has not been generated in decades," states Holland.

"This has got to be good news for all prospective purchasers... Our first confirmed orders will be delivered during September and we welcome all customers to visit us either at the factory or at the CV Show."

Joint managing director Steven Cartwright says: "The decision by John and I to leave our positions in the Cartwright family business was driven by our desire to lead the company 100% and to make significant changes for its future success.

"Unfortunately, an agreement was not reached and therefore the decision to leave and create Tiger came about."

Cartwright says customers can expect innovative products and creative solutions, and states that the new company wants to become one of the UK's leading trailer and bodybuilding manufacturers.

The new factory, based on Road One in Winsford, houses all manufacturing and assembly is housed under one roof. Cartwright says that significant investment means state-of-the-art machinery and processes with quality and competitive pricing.
