The Aylesford-based firm's latest trailers are 13.6m-long S.CS Mega curtainsiders, with Varios Top Technology – a height-adjustable body, which allows Kelly to adjust the roof in 50mm increments to take full advantage of the trailer's 3m interior height.
The roof can be raised on one or both sides for forklift loading, or can be slid open to enable crane loading through the roof.
This, says Kelly, gives it more flexibility for transporting loads, as the trailers meet the 4m overall running height regulations in mainland Europe.
A key market for Kelly is the transport of newsprint from the UK to mainland Europe publishers, so Joloda floors were specified, which allow paper reels to be easily slid in and of the rear doors of the trailer.
