Laguna and Princess place Scania Irizar coach orders10 September 2014

Scania has announced two more orders for its Scania Irizar coaches.

Bournemouth-based Laguna Travel has acquired its first tri-axle touring coach. Fitted to the Scania K 400 EB6x2*4 chassis is a 13.9m Irizar i6 body.

It incorporates 61 passenger seats, as well as seatback tables, footrests, dark tinted glass, powered doors and lockers, servery, washroom, refrigerator and Blaupunkt Professional Line audio-video equipment.

Meanwhile, Princess Coaches of Southampton has extended its Scania Irizar fleet to 16, with another coach to support its cruise line passenger operations in the south of England

This latest vehicle is another 13.9m, executive-specification coach built on Scania's Euro 5 K 400 6x2*4 chassis with the fully-automated Scania Opticruise gear selection system.

A rear second entrance and floor-mounted washroom gives generous luggage space between the axles, so accommodating the requirements of cruise lines.

Both coaches were supplied with Scania's two-year R&M contract.
