Lancashire minibus supplier first to take new Daily Start03 October 2018

Minibus and minicoach supplier David Fishwick of Colne, Lancashire, has taken delivery of the UK’s first IVECO Daily Start minibus as a demonstrator vehicle.

The Daily Start is the latest addition to IVECO’s minibus range and is an entry-level model. Others in the range include the Daily Line and high-end Daily Tourys+.

The Daily Start can take up to 16 passengers, with wheelchair access in certain configurations. It has a manual side sliding door and retractable step, and options include CCTV, an electric sliding door, reverse cameras and USB charging points.

Power is provided by IVECO’s 3.0-litre F1C diesel engine, with a choice of either 148bhp or 178bhp versions available. The vehicle can also be equipped with the eight-speed Hi-Matic automatic transmission.

Maintenance intervals have been extended to 50,000km.

Mark Barlow, dealer principal at David Fishwick, says it is ideal for operators requiring a simple, functional vehicle with low running costs, such as for airport parking services or local taxi work.

“This new Daily model offers excellent value for money,” he says, adding: “Operators can be confident of a long service life, even for high-mileage applications.”
