Landmark MAN truck sale is cause for ATE celebration 28 March 2013

ATE Truck and Trailer Sales has recorded its 20,000th sale, in the form of an order for a 26-tonne curtainsider truck – a MAN TGA 26.320.

The 2007 truck was ordered by Naylors Transport (Leyland) and was extended to 28ft, repainted and equipped with new curtains fitted before delivery.

The 20,000 milestone is a special moment for ATE, which operates from Boundary Industrial Estate, in Wolverhampton, and Bruntingthorpe, in Leicestershire.

The company sells quality used trucks and trailers offering curtainsiders, fridges, flats, skeletals, box trailers and everything from7.5-tonne rigids to 44-tonne artics.

Its dedicated retail truck sales centre now sits alongside the company's workshops, and services include an 18m low bake spray oven, two shot blast bays, a paint shop, fabrication bay, four service and MOT preparation bays, a truck wash and two valet bays.

James Jenkins, managing director of ATE says: "Our decision to expand the truck sales side of the business has really paid dividends, as has the investment in the new facilities. It took us eight years to reach 10,000 sales but only half that time to hit the 20,000 mark."
