Langdon Industries’ fleet replacement is well underway 21 January 2013

Langdon Industries reports that it has placed all but nine of its 105 commercial vehicle order for 2013's fleet replacement programme.

The haulier's orders include bodies from Solomon, Lawrence David and Gray & Adams, with a large number of urban trailers.

Tyrone Lanaway, engineering manager at Langdon Industries, says there are also several Scania tractor units and 26tonne rigids are in the mix.

All vehicles have been specified with Thermo King dual-temperature fridge units, supplied through Marshall Fleet Solutions, as well as Anteo sliding tail lifts, he adds.

Following successful trials with a Chereau trailer late in 2012, which marked Langdons first exposure to grit floors, all the 2013 vehicle replacement fleet have been specified with grit floors, as opposed to aluminium.
