Latest Premium purchase hints at move to all-Renault fleet 15 February 2013

Following a good operating experience with 12 Renault Premium trucks purchased over the last 12 months, Joseph Holloway has placed an order for a further two tractor units.

The West Midlands-based haulage company's dozen Premium 460.25 6x2 tractor units, all supplied by Renault Trucks Midlands, have pulling tipping bodies for the bulk haulage of recycling materials, scrap metals and waste.

Matt Holloway, managing director of Joseph Holloway, says that the additional two Renault trucks are set to follow suit, with similar specifications.

"When looking to update our fleet last year, we trialled a Renault Premium demonstrator," comments Holloway.

"Our drivers were pleased with the comfort and handling of the Premium and fuel economy was also impressive," he continues.

"The Renault Premiums on our fleet continue to run at about 6—7.5mpg, which is a good return for a tipper truck."

Holloway says half the fleet of 25 trucks is now Renault and states that the company is looking to eventually run an all-Renault fleet.
