Latest version of FleetPlus wins award for Haldex 05 October 2012

The third generation of Haldex's Fleet+ system, which analyses the condition of trailer tyres, chassis and axles, has won the Smart Trailer category at the Trailer Innovation Awards 2013.

One of the new features within the latest version of Haldex's software is a search function, which enables managers and technicians to target information.

Fleet+ is designed to scan for specific data and, via the search function, answer almost any vehicle equipment-related query posed by the operator.

Analysis is divided into five categories: overview, snapshots, histogram, trip records and user information. The system stores data for the most recent 1,000 trips in the 'overview' category, which captures information on journeys taken and kilometres travelled.

From there, the user can recall information via the 'snapshots', which reveals anything from the number of times brake AUX was activated to journeys with excessive axle loads. Data is displayed in diagram format and can be exported to a PC.

Meanwhile, the histogram option provides more in-depth information, such as the detail of brake pressure coordination between truck and trailer.

Interestingly, the trip records logbook allows for multiple extra criteria to be captured – for example, lift axle usage that exceeds a predetermined threshold or tyre pressures falling below a value.
