Latest wins for Scania coach business23 July 2014

Scania has announced two wins for its coach business, with an Irizar i6 for Stephensons of Easingwold and an Irizar Century for Milligans Coach Travel.

North Yorkshire-based Stephensons has taken delivery of a Scania K 360 IB4x2 coach with Irizar i6 bodywork (pictured).

The 12.45m long vehicle has 53 passenger seats with three-point seat belts, leather headrests, a centre sunken washroom, a full Bosch Professional Line entertainment system with DVD player and twin monitors, reversing camera and alloy wheels.

The vehicle features Scania's two pedal automated Opticruise gearbox, and is supplied with a two-year R&M package supported by the local Scania service centre in Thirsk.

Milligans Coach Travel's latest addition, meanwhile, is an Irizar Century model, its fourth with this chassis/body combination since 2012.

Based on a Euro 5 Scania K 400 EB4x2 chassis with the Opticruise automated gearbox, the vehicle's Irizar Century body has 49 reclining seats, three-point seatbelts, a Bosch professional entertainment package, extra dark tinted glass, centre sunken toilet and Durabright alloy wheels.

Billy Milligan, director at the Ayrshire-based operator, says: "Standardising means that we now carry an imprest stock of Scania parts so that vehicles are not off the road for any great length of time."
