Leyland Trucks celebrates production landmark 19 September 2011

The 100,000th DAF LF truck has rolled off the production line, with due celebration by Leyland Trucks.

"This milestone reflects the commitment and dedication of all Leyland employees to designing and building the best distribution truck in the industry," comments Andrea Thompson, Leyland Trucks managing director.

Graham Bellman, group head of transport for Travis Perkins, was presented with the keys to the new DAF LF by Thompson.

"The LF model is the backbone of the delivery fleet operating at our 1,800 locations across the UK," says Bellman, whose firm already has 1,000 LF trucks on its fleet.

"It's a product that is ideally suited to our multi-drop, short-haul operations," he continues. "It's the highest quality, reliable and delivers excellent fuel efficiency, as well as presenting a great image for our company."
