Low-carbon SME innovators propelled into the limelight04 August 2016

The Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC) is backing UK SMEs with sponsorship of the award for low carbon innovation by an SME at the Low Carbon Champions Awards 2016 next month (14 September; Milton Keynes).

Microcab, Riversimple and Tevva Motors have been shortlisted for the category, which recognises SMEs who are developing technologies to reduce CO2 emissions.

“The APC are proud to be sponsoring the Award of Low Carbon Innovation by an SME,” says Gareth Deakin, project associate at the APC.

“We are committed to helping SMEs develop their technologies and businesses, to enable collaboration with larger Tier 1 and OEMs.

“There is a wealth of experience and knowledge within our UK SME’s and we feel privileged to be able to celebrate that capability at the Low Carbon Champions Awards.”

Earlier this month, the APC launched a £1 million SME and Supply Chain Development Grant Funding Competition, which will support SMEs with early stage technology and is run by Niche Vehicle Network.
