Lower LCV emissions with new oil from Fuchs06 January 2016

Lubricant supplier Fuchs has released Titan GT1 OW-30, a performance engine oil for vehicles with exhaust after-treatment devices.

Designed for petrol and diesel light commercial vehicles, Fuchs says the product helps to extend the service time of all exhaust treatment systems as well as offering protection against wear in highly-stressed diesel and gasoline engines, thanks to its low level of sulphated ash, phosphorous and sulphur.

The oil is also said to reduce pollutant emissions and the formation of deposits in engines and turbochargers, while lowing fuel consumption compared to conventional oils.

Titan GT1 0W-30 was developed for the PSA specification PSA B71 2312, which is mandatory in the new PSA Euro 6 DV and DW Diesel engines.

It can also be used in other PSA petrol and diesel vehicles, as well as in many vehicles of Asian manufacturers if the use of ACEA C2 is specified.

Fuchs recommends a complete oil change when switching to the new product.
