The 3.5-tonne Renault Master long wheelbase vehicles are supplied on a four-year, full-service contract hire with Fraikin.
Jennie Lucas, national distribution manager for Lyreco, says Fraikin’s proven track record with fleet uptime and efficiency led to the renewal of its 10-year relationship.
Fraikin will service Lyreco’s vehicles overnight and at weekends, with collection and delivery. It will also provide rapid replacement vehicles, if needed, from its own 1,200-strong rental fleet – with a commitment to supply Lyreco’s preferred van specification.
Lyreco is also able to monitor its fleet through the FraikinView web portal, which enables online defect reporting and gives updates on vehicle breakdowns. The portal also lists planned maintenance work and hosts vehicle documentation, service records and fleet information to aid compliance.
“Having access to service documentation and vehicle records online is a real bonus. Operational compliance and fleet efficiency is extremely important to us – FraikinView makes life easier,” adds Lucas.
The new deliveries will join Lyreco’s 280-strong commercial vehicle fleet, which also includes 5-tonne panel vans and 7.5-tonne rigids.
