Major successes reported at Clean Air Power 14 April 2011

Dual-Fuel combustion technology developer Clean Air Power, which enables heavy-duty diesel engines to operate on diesel and natural gas, says the past 12 months have been the most successful since its formation in 1991.

The company points to the signing of a supply agreement with Volvo Powertrain, separate development and supply agreements with Volvo Bus, and a concept development agreement with Navistar as recognition of its technology.

"We are very encouraged to be entering into these agreements as they represent further acknowledgement of our technology," states Clean Air Power CEO John Pettitt. "We are delighted to have finalised the supply agreement with Volvo, as it signifies the achievement of a major milestone set out at the time of our IPO."

The most recent development was the supply deal with Volvo, signed in January this year. That contract follows on from a development agreement and is initially for the delivery of 11 Dual-Fuel systems to Volvo Bus. These systems will be fitted directly onto the buses on the Volvo production line ready for service in Sweden by July.
