Majorlift nets security accreditation11 October 2019

Lifting equipment manufacturer Majorlift has achieved accreditation to Cyber Essentials, a security standard to prove safety of online systems.

The confirmation comes after an assessment in August, which included a remote penetration test of the Gloucester-based company’s IT system to test for vulnerability to cyber attacks.

Tristram Southgate, Majorlift’s managing director, says: “It’s an important step for Majorlift as we expand on to the world stage and particularly as we are doing more and more work for large, multinationals who are looking for this level of security in their suppliers.”

It is also a requirement for the Ministry of Defence, a key Majorlift client, for which it is building vehicle lifts for the CVR(T) Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Tracked).
