Malcolm Group takes 28 more Mercedes-Benz vans 23 January 2017

Linwood, Renfrewshire-based logistics, construction and maintenance services specialist Malcom Group has acquired another 28 Mercedes-Benz vans – a mix of Citans, Vitos and Sprinters.

The delivery brings Malcom Group’s cohort of commercial vehicles from the German manufacture up to more than half of the 175-strong fleet.

Malcolm Group specified 10 Long-bodied Citan 109 CDIs, 10 mid-sized Vito 111 CDI vans and eight 3.5-tonne Sprinter 314 CDIs – five chassis cabs with tipping bodies, the other three panel vans.

“Our Mercedes-Benz vans have proved themselves over many years to be well-built, dependable and cost-effective to operate – they’re real workhorses,” states Malcolm’s Linwood centre manager George Scott.

“We’ve built up an excellent relationship with Western Commercial too. Its sales executive David McColm knows our business well and is very attentive, while Brian Cooper [service manager] and his Glasgow workshop team are always flexible and do their best to keep our business moving.”
