Malthouse Engineering goes green with Greenhous DAF 17 July 2012

Malthouse Engineering, the UK's largest and fastest growing steel profiler, has taken delivery of five DAF trucks from Willenhall-based Greenhous DAF as fleet updates for distributing its flame-cut stell profiles.

The business has bought two DAF LF45 12T chassis with dropside bodies, one DAF CF65 18T sleeper cab chassis, with a dropside body, and two DAF CF75 26T sleeper cab chassis with dropside bodies.

Roy Taylor, managing director of Malthouse Engineering, says he wanted reliable, cost-effective and easily-maintained trucks.

"The only change we've made with the latest trucks is the colour," states Taylor. "As the company colours are silver, red and black we've moved from silver trucks to red ones, to give us more impact."

Taylor does, however, make the piont that the new trucks are more environmentally friendly and fuel efficient than their predecessors.

"We've worked with Greenhous DAF for some years now and we've been impressed with the level of service we've received throughout from Rob Binnion and his team," comments Taylor.

"The relationship doesn't stop with the trucks being delivered, the relationship is maintained and the team obviously takes pride in its customer experience."
