MAN expands heavy truck offering in Latin America 17 April 2012

MAN is continuing its expansion in the Latin American market, with the launch of the TGX heavy truck series now being produced in Brazil and sold in Central and South America for the first time.

The truck manufacturer is also streamlining production – with the new VW Constellation Advantech trucks, for example, now being powered by MAN D08 engines.

The European-designed engine model has been customised to the local emerging markets' requirements, and is now also ready for production in Brazil. The engine meets the P7 emission standard (comparable wit Euro 5), which has been in force in Brazil since January 2012.

VW Constellation Advantech, has been available in Brazil since January this year.
