MAN to unveil new light commercial vehicle at IAA Hanover15 August 2016

MAN Truck & Bus has released more details for its new van, the TGE, which is expected to be unveiled at the IAA Show in Hanover next month (22-29 September).

The new light commercial vehicle will have several body types, including crew cab, along with two wheelbases and three roof height options.

The TGE’s gvw will range from 3 to 5.5 tonnes, with a maximum load volume of 18.3m3.

There are front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options, all of which can be coupled with either a six-gear manual transmission or an eight-gear automatic transmission.

Volkswagen’s four-cylinder engine is under the TGE’s bonnet and will offer power ranges from 102bhp to 177bhp.

The vehicle has several standout safety features, notably the inclusion of emergency brake assist (EBA) as standard.

The new MAN TGE will be available to order from March next year, firstly for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands, with UK deliveries planned for autumn 2017.
