MAN trucks keep Sochi traffic flowing10 February 2014

MAN has delivered nine TGS 8x4 heavy recovery trucks to the Russian city of Sochi, host of the Winter Olympics.

The four-axle, 480bhp trucks will be used to keep traffic flowing smoothly around the city by removing obstructions, such as accident vehicles. The 41-tonners are designed to tow buses, trucks and heavy trailers, and have two steel cable winches with a drag force of up to 53 tonnes.

After the closing ceremony, the trucks will go into service across Russia as heavy towing vehicles for public transport operations.
