MAN trucks take top place at Dodds Group 27 May 2011

21st Century Logistics, the operating company of the trucking firm Dodds Group, has taken delivery of five new MAN TGX 26.440BLS 6x2 mid-lift tractor units, as part of its replacement cycle.

The XLX-cabbed Euro 5 trucks are now in service from two of the company's sites in Sittingbourne and Calne, Wiltshire.

Transport manager Peter Knight – whose previous operation, Les Knight Transport, which was acquired by Dodds – believes MAN can lay claim to be the best commercial vehicle producers on the market.

"I've been operating and driving MAN vehicles for 10 years, and they have also been the most advanced, reliable and economic trucks available," states Knight.

"Fuel economy in particular is consistently impressive," he adds. "For me, driver acceptance can tell you all you need to know about a truck, and these latest TGX units have certainly hit the mark."
