Martin Williams takes top spot in CV bodyshop of the year category21 October 2014

Martin Williams (Hull) has won the commercial vehicle bodyshop of the year prize at the British Bodyshop awards, held earlier this month (October 2014) at Celtic Manor Resort, Wales.

The Burstwick, Hull-based bodybuilder has invested more than £1 million in its 50,000 sq ft workshop, which houses two of the largest spray booths in Europe, at 23x6x6 metres.

The booths can be segregated to take four vehicles at any time.

The company also reports it is ahead of schedule for N2 and N3 type approvals, with accreditation already in place for DAF, Iveco, MAN, Mercedes-Benz and Mitsubishi Fuso.

"It has been a challenge to go for so many type approvals at the same time, but we need to stay one step ahead," says director Nick Williams.

"We have nine complete, with five more due this month, six in November and another four due to complete in December."
