Masternaut promises greater ROI with business consultancy25 September 2014

Telematics developer Masternaut is launching a business consultancy arm to help operators maximise the benefit of its systems – a service which, it says, can deliver a 10% cost reduction.

Described as a 'change management consultancy', the practice can help first-time telematics users or those wanting to refresh business processes in their transport operations.

Masternaut's change management consultancy has already worked with Balfour Beatty, Speedy Hire, Office Team, United Technologies and PH Jones.

Advice centres on risk management, fuel savings, fleet utilisation, process engineering, health and safety, emissions management and employee communication.

The practice is headed up by Mike Hemming, the company's lead on change management, reporting to professional services director Richard Tindle.

Tindle says the service offers a "significant return on investment" for large fleets. "We will aim for a 10% cost reduction as a minimum," he insists.

"Telematics is no longer the preserve of the fleet manager or depot manager," he adds.

"The likes of HR, finance and the CEO want to see the benefits across the business, so preparing properly and following up post implementation is essential to ensure all parties get what they want out of the system."
