Meet Keith on the Paneltex stand at Tip-Ex01 May 2015

Trailer manufacturer Paneltex Martrans will be exhibiting its latest walking floor trailer at Tip-Ex later this month (28-30 May, Harrogate), which features the new Keith ‘V-Floor’ system and Keith Sweep system.

The trailer is designed to discharge aggregate and asphalt products, and it has been updated with a lighter weight, one-piece rear door to improve visibility into the trailer body.

In addition, a planksided body has horizontal planks, rather than vertical, to reduce the number of internal welds, which helps the cleaning process and saves weight.

The trailer on display will incorporate a number of additional weight saving features including new planksider bodywork with the option of insulated sidewalls, designed and built by Martrans Trailers.

Compared to a standard rigid eight-wheel tipper, says the company, its walking floor trailers deliver 40% more payload.

"Eliminating the need for tipping means the trailer can be used safely in any location, and the payload gain compared with a typical eight-wheel rigid tipper gives a massive efficiency benefit," says Chris Berridge, Paneltex's managing director.
