The calculator compares the costs of a Mellor Strata with those of larger single-deck vehicles.
Using the link below, operators can input their annual mileage and fuel costs, along with fleet size, and the calculator shows a total cost comparison for the Strata versus the existing fleet.
The tool provides figures which are based upon 12 years of operation and include purchase, maintenance, servicing costs and BSOG rebates. It also incorporates an increase in fuel costs of 2.5% per year.
“This is a really simple to use but highly effective tool for bus operators who are unsure about, or wouldn’t usually consider running a Strata in their fleet,” says John Randerson, managing director of Mellor.
