Mercedes reveals details of new Vito – to launch at CV Show13 February 2015

Mercedes-Benz has released details of its new Vito van range, which will be launched at the Commercial Vehicle Show (NEC, Birmingham) on 14 April.

The Compact panel van (109 CDI) starts at £17,855 plus VAT, rising to £38,508 for the top specification Vito Tourer Select with extra-long wheelbase.

Across the range – panel, crew van and Tourer (minibus) – there are three wheelbase options, three weight variants and two turbodiesel engines in five power ratings.

For the first time, the Vito range has the choice of front- or rear-wheel drive. The highest payload is offered by the rear-wheel drive Vito, with four-cylinder, 2.1-litre engine and gvw of 3.2 tonnes, giving a maximum capacity of 1,255kg.

Mercedes' BlueEFFICIENCY package is standard on all rear-wheel drive models, delivering fuel efficiency up to 47.1 mpg on the 119 BlueTEC.

The 114 BlueTEC and 116 BlueTEC have the option of 7G-Tronic Plus automatic transmission, with six-speed manual gearbox on other models.

Safety features include Adaptive ESP, Adaptive Brake Lights, Crosswind Assist, Hill-Start Assist and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Rear twin doors are standard for all models, which can be opened back to 180 degrees or locked in place at 90 degrees. The crew van and Tourer models have a tailgate as standard, and this is a free option on the panel range.
