Meyle unveils long-life stabiliser links for Volvo FM and FH models11 January 2017

Meyle has launched a new range of stabiliser links for Volvo FH and Volvo FM trucks. Called Mehle-HD, the stabiliser links feature a high-performance grease, a larger ball pin made from surface-hardened steel and, says Meyle, a technically refined rubber boot, all designed to maximise service life.

Early models of the Volvo FH and FM series have been in operation for years and so, says Mehle, the likelihood is increasing of a need for stabiliser link repair.

Symptoms include unresponsive steering, resulting from worn joints or water ingress.

Meyle says its new stabiliser links promise “superb part strength”, thanks to a larger ball pin made from surface-hardened steel and a reinforced connecting rod. In addition, a low-friction high-performance grease ensures optimal lubrication of the moving parts and, along with the top-grade rubber boots, this increases part life.

The links come with an extended four-year guarantee. Meyle recommends that the stabiliser link should be replaced in pairs along with the stabiliser bushings using the corresponding parts.
